Coupons are an amazing way to help you save money.

Since my wife and I started tracking how much we saved using coupons, in one year saved over $1,600 -enough for our vacation to Waikiki!
Most consumers could not be bothered using coupons because they believe that they take too much time and energy.
Many people still believe after watching the popular TLC show, Extreme Couponing, that to get major savings with coupons that you have to sit down all Sunday and clip coupons out of your newspaper.
You can now print coupons online, or download them to your cell phone. As a new coupon user, here are the top five places to find coupons so you can start saving money today in Ontario!

1. GetClip: Clip allows you to search, save and redeem special offers from your favourite merchants and restaurants using your smartphone. The app does all the work. It finds deals and coupons based on your location in seconds! Never forget coupons at home, or have a wallet stuffed with paper coupons.
2. GroceryAlerts.ca: We all love to save money on groceries. This website publishes the top grocery sales from your local grocery flyer but matches up the sale with a coupon. This turns a regular sale where you may save 20% off to sometimes getting products for 50% off or free with a coupon! A daily e-mail explains where to find the latest printable grocery coupons or request coupons to be mailed to you via Canada Post.
3. EBates:  Ebates gives you cash back when you make an online purchase.
Stores pay Ebates a sales commission for sending shoppers their way, and Ebates uses the commission to pay you cash back.
If you purchased a shirt or leather jacket from Roots.ca for $50 you would receive 2.5% cash back! Other stores they have include: Chapters – 1.0%-5.0% cash back, Dell – 1.5%-3% cash back, and The Source – 1.0%-10.0% cash back.
4. OneSpout: You’ve probably heard of the group buying phenomenon, and the large number of daily deal sites (Groupon, Wagjag) taking over your city. These large daily deal websites feature an unbeatable deal on the best stuff to do, see, eat, and buy in your city. This is a great way to save on Entertainment, Gifts and Spas, and restaurants.
5. Entertainment Book: The Entertainment book has been around for ages. Last year on a trip to Waikiki, my family saved $350 in a week using the local 2010 Entertainment book. You can find coupons for everything from dining to retail in this powerful money saving book.

With all these great websites and tools to get free coupons, Ontario residents should have no excuses to saving money.
